MirrorKit — Accessibility

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Our commitment

MirrorKit is a small macOS app built and maintained by one person. I want it to be usable by as many people as possible, and I would rather tell you plainly what works and what does not than overstate it. This page lists only what is implemented in the app today, and it does not claim conformance to any accessibility standard.

What MirrorKit supports

Keyboard shortcuts

The main actions are in the menu bar and have keyboard shortcuts:

Labels on the floating toolbar

The floating toolbar's buttons have accessibility labels, and hovering shows a tooltip with the same text: close, minimize and expand the window; start or stop recording; take a snapshot; rotate; and the device and settings menu, which also exposes the connected device name. In Settings, the bezel style and bezel color pickers have accessible names.

Known limitations
